August 11th Powys and the Welsh Borders This trip will probably have to be moved to Friday 13th August as both gardens we wish to visit cannot accomadate us on wednesdays! We will have coffee at Dobbies (Shrewsbuy) before going on to Powis Castle for 11am and then just down the road to Glansevern a newly restored garden where you will be able to have afternoon tea before we return to kings Heath September 16th Dunham Massey and one other Cheshire Garden Dunham Massey is a National Trust Garden that has been restored in recent years using plants from Ashwood Nurseries amongst others and the herbaceous is said to be stunning in late summer hence our visit! October The Royal Horticultural Society's Garden at Wisley This garden looks good at any time of the year, but it is magical both in herbaceous and woody plants in October - with the dry summer we are working on an early autumn! |
